Powerboat Level 2 Certificate  
 
Duration: 2 days. Max 3 persons per boat. 
 
Minimum Age: 12 
 
Subjects covered: Safety, Life saving equipment, High-speed handling, manoeuvring, navigation, launch & recovery, man over-board drill, chartwork, use of a compass, tides and GPS navigation. 
 
Suitable for: Beginners 
 
Assumed knowledge: None required (Incorporates Level 1 so can be used as "first step" training) 
 
Cost: £260.00 per person. Includes the RYA Start Powerboating handbook. 
 
This is the most popular course we run and can be completed without doing the Level 1 course first.

COMMERCIAL ENDORSEMENT 
 
The Level 2 certificate can be endorsed for commercial use, on a suitably MCA Certified vessel, with the addition of a Sea Survival Course, First Aid and a Medical examination.
